ISRO stands for Indian Space Research Organization it was started by on the request of Vikram sarabhai because he felt we need a space research Centre, so PM "Shri" Nehru established ISRO under INCOSPAR. INCOSPAR stands for Indian National Committee for Space Research it was started under the Department of Atomic Energy on the request of valuable scientists Vikram Sarabhai and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. INCOSPAR was dissolved in 1969 and ISRO was continued in 1972 Department of Space was made and ISRO was transferred under it. Apart from all this ISRO has achieved many goals with a very low budget of $1.9 billion USD. ISRO has a fail rate of 5% which is extremely low as compare to other countries space organizations. Now let's talk about the achievement of ISRO.
ISRO launched it first satellite Aryabhatt with the help of Soviet union in the year `1975`. ISRO launched satellite RS-1 in 1980, SLV-3 and made India capable of launching and maintaining orbital crafts. ISRO was the first space organization to confirm the presence of water molecules on moon by its mission Chandrayan-I. ISRO also created a world record of launching 104 satellites together in one launch which was braked by Falcon-F9 of SpaceX this year. India is the first country to reach MARS in its first attempt. ISRO is continuing the work of shocking everyone by its future missions like Gaganyan, Chandrayan-3, Mangalyan-2 and other humanoid missions. India has worlds largest network of remote satellite sensing system which operates/controls 2 satellite navi systems NAVIC and GAGAN. NAVIC stands for Navigation with Indian Constellation and GAGAN stands for GPS-aided GEO augmented navigation. Both are made in India totally was launched because of blockage of satellite signals by USA for personal purpose. ISRO has launched a Solar application this year which is a revolutionary thing that could sense the radiation and solar frequency by using the camera of the device.
ISRO has collaborated with many other space organizations also like NASA, JAXA, Europe space Agency and many more for joint missions. Elon Musk appreciate ISRO for its low cost and effective missions.
