Mayan Civilization started in 1800BC and ended in 250AD due to unknown reasons, later period many more advanced buildings and structures. They were polytheistic by religion and believed that time is mortal they believed in a continuous cycle of time that restarts after it ends. Maya means illusion or things that seems to be real but aren't real.
Mayans or Maya's dominated the region of central America present day Mexico and parts of Panama traits. Due to their short history their timeline is not very long.
At the time of their declination many cities got abandoned many people left their houses many converted. This incident later grew to the key factor of the declination of one of the most advance civilization on Earth. Their first astronomical observatory was built around 1400BCE and they named it as Kurkul. Mayans spoke Yucatec Maya language it is an Indian-Mayanese language. Mayans were very advanced in all the fields like Astronomy, Mathematics, Physics, Literature. Back in 1500 BCE the Maya were settled in the cities and developed agriculture based on the cultivation of maize (corn), beans and squash; by 600 CE the cassava (sweet manioc) was also planted. They began to build festival centers, and by 200 CE these had developed into cities with temples, towers, palaces, stadiums, and plazas.
Timeline of Indus Valley Civilization
Indus Valley Civilization started near and bank of the river Sarasvati and Sindhu river. They lived across whole South Asia including parts of Iran and east India. The civilization is believed that it started in 18000 BCE but by the evidence it is estimated it started between 5000 - 7000 BCE. It haven't declined yet. This civilization is at least 7000 years old.
Mayans were very similar to IVC people Indus valley Civilization is also called Harappan Civilization. It was started in Vedic period. People in this civilization followed a polytheistic religion and culture that we called Hinduism today. This civilization has a very very very long history unlike others. They settled near Sarasvati river and then Migrated toward west and east after the river dried up. They lived in Aryavart (Ancient India). They were extremely advanced in all the fields and every subject like Science, Math's, Astronomy, they even concluded that earth is like a bumped ball of rock revolving around Surya(Sun).
They built temples, universities, laboratories, observation centers, etc... They wrote millions of book. Their discoveries are currently used by Modern Science thus forming the base of the Modern Sciences. They spoke language similar to Sanskrit but it is still undiscovered.
