Let's start Small content of ISRO all mission

Missions of ISRO

1. Aryabhata Satellite:- It was launched in 1975 by Soviet kosmos(space agency) rocket 3M from Present day Russia(Kapustin). It was just a Experimental satellite.

2. Bhaskara-I:- It was launched in 1979. It was a remote sensing satellite. It re-entered our orbit on 1989 approx. 10 years after the launch. It's onboard power was 47 watts.

3. Rohini Satellite (RS-I):- It was launched the same year i.e. 1979. It was a successful launch but partially. It was also a experimental satellite.

4. RS-D1:- Rohini Satellite D1 it was earth observer satellite carried by SLV-3. It carried a camera with itself to click photographs of earth. It was also a successful launch. It was launched in 1981

5. Apple:- Ariane Passenger Payload Experiment it was first Indian communication satellite manufactured and launched by ISRO itself. It was launched in the same year i.e. 1981.

6. Bhaskara-II:- It was a intercosmos launch vehicle launched in 1981 from Kapustin(Present day Russia). It sent more than 2000 images which was very useful for further studies in the field of Science.

7. INSAT-1A:- It was a space orbiter launched by ISRO and carried by Delta. Launch was successful but later the orbiter failed in the orbit because attitude control propellant was exhausted. Hence this mission was failed. It was launched in 1982.

8. RS-D2:- It was a experimental and Earth Observation satellite launched in 1983. It was carried by SLV-3. It's orbit was LEO means Low earth Orbit. It was close to the earth so that Scientists can monitor it clearly. It re-entered the orbit in 1990(after 7 years).

9. INSAT-1B:- It was a shuttle launched for the purpose of Communication. It was launched on 1983 and carried by by a rocket(obv). It sent 36,000 pictures of Earth unlike INSAT-1A. It returned to earth by 1990.

10. SROSS-1:- It was launched on 1983 by ISRO from Sriharikota. It was carried by ASLV and it was a experimental development flight of ASLV.

The list continues... Now we will discuss the famous missions of ISRO.

MoM (Mars orbiter Mission) It was a mission carried out by ISRO in which they sent their space probe to Mars orbit in their first attempt.

When ISRO gained popularity?

ISRO gained its initial popularity after 2004 when they announced Chandrayaan Mission (I) and they their space craft to moon and became the first country(India) to confirm the presence of water molecule on moon.
